hi, Woody
Welcome to the antique forum.
The wall clock being made in Germany helps with it's value.
HAC (Hamburg American Company)
Also known as HAU in Germany from the German company name Hamberg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik.
When Erhard Jungians, founder of the Jungians factory, died in 1876, his widow's son in law, Paul Landenberger, who had acted as business manager for Jungians, left to start his own factory Named Landenberger and Lang.
In 1883 the name was changed to the "Hamburg Americanise Uhrenfabrik",
HAC became a very well known German clock company. Kochmann has numerous references.
The company used many different trademarks but the best known is the "crossed arrows" symbol that you referred to in your post
They eventually merged with Jungians in 1930
Not sure about all the spelling of the names.
So your clock was made between 1883-1930.
As your clock case is made of oak and not mahogany or walnut it puts it's date after 1910, but going by the style of your clock it was made after the end of the WWl.
Roman numerals may make the date of your clock nearer 1920 than 1930.
Price wise
In auction, presuming working and no damage £40-£60
In an antiques fair, serviced and 6 months guarante £180.
In a swap meet or flee market in say Floridia/Georgia USA $150
On the West Coast of USA say L.A $300
Sold in my shop I would expect to get £70-£80.
Hope this helps you.
