Lancashire County Council's home library service has been suspended until further notice due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
It had been hoped that the service, which allows books to be delivered to people in their homes, could continue but the council has made the decision to suspend the service following national advice to limit contact between people.
The authority is currently working closely with the Lancashire Volunteer Partnership to provide replacement telephone befriending support for home library service customers.
