A Few More Bits N Peices

    Hello All

I Am Looking For Help On A Couple Of Peices I Have And Would Be Grateful If Anyone Can Shed Any Light On Them.

    Ok

The First Peice Is A Nice Peice Of Art Neuveau Pottery -looks Continental - Signed To Base - Probably French?

The Next Peice Is Also A Peice Ceramic Vase From Around The Same Period (not Sure )-brown And Red Painted Vase- Not Stamped Or Signed In Any Way.

The Last Item Is What Looks To Me To Be A Polynesian Spear Looks Tongan But Could Be African-could Be From C 1920 Not Sure Thats Just A Guess.

Take A Look At The Pictures And Thanks.

John, doesn't that first vase look like an example of that "flo blue" you've been talking about (which is so popular over here)?

    Flowing blue

you may be right.. the blue has run.

but I think the blue on the vase is intentional.

The Flow Blue that is very desirable in the USA is where the blue has run by accident.

Also the base, underneath shows it is white and is likely to be a studio piece.

yeah its deffinatly art pottery from the neuveau period , the hard part is finding out what that signature says..

john you see the other pot with with the red and the kind of mackintosh influence to it...well if you look at the rim of the peice it looks thin and quite straight.

do you think this could have had a lid at some stage?
