Hi Russ (Mr b )The Company J & G MEAKIN LTD of Eagle Pottery and Eastwood Works date back to 1851
reg number 391413 according to "Godden's Marks" is was registered in 1902
"SOL" indicates after 1912.
But with out seeing the back stamp it is hard to tell the date of manufacture.
By the style it looks like the 1960's or early 1970 70's.
same shape as Denby Green Wheat
Value would be between £30-£40
but in a car boot sale may be £20 and you would sell it.
But Russ there is a revival of late 1950 and 1960's design at present.
Royal Stafford have made a complete range of 1950's design by Eva Zeisel. They are on sale around the Country at John Lewis and the China Shop at Portland Street Southport
a tea cup £12
a tea saucer £ 7
a side plate £10
a tea pot £70
a milk jug £27
sugar basin £30
as you can see £200 buys NEW items like what you have Mr B
A good investment at £20 in a car boot sale .
My Advice hold on to them or use them
Good Luck
John
