Ormskirk junior pupils have been sharing their memories of lockdown - by preserving them in a Covid Capsule!
Children from St Anne’s RC Primary are getting involved with the COVID-19 Commemoration Project, organised by the borough council and to be sited at Skem's Beacon Country Park.
There will be a sensory woodland created and developed to represent a place to commemorate people in the community lost to COVID-19 and to give thanks to the NHS and key workers.
Every class has contributed to the project with messages and special artwork; some pupils wrote a record of their top moments and challenges during lockdown, others interviewed parents and recorded their special memories from the pandemic.
They also decorated handprints with words of encouragement to represent how we can connect with others.
