An Aughton bride and her husband shared a truly wonderful day after their ‘lockdown’ wedding last Saturday.
Alice Price and Ieuan Richards from Cornwall wed at Aughton Park Baptist Church – and although there were only a small number of folk there, the ceremony’s now been watched by over 1,300 family and friends online!
And last Saturday's weather was kind too - not a single drop of rain fell when the young couple left as man and wife, even though the weather forecast threatened 100% rain for the rest of the day.
Said Alice, whose parents David and Naomi live on The Paddock: “It was so special that we could celebrate with our close friends and family and even more wonderful that hundreds of people watched it live online.
“Lots of family, friends and neighbours rocked up to throw confetti, cheer and be there to see us as the new Mr. and Mrs. Richards.
“It was so different than what we ever thought it would be but we wouldn't change it for the world.
“It was perfect and God was front and centre all day.”
Pastor David Finnie from Bangor married the 23-year-olds who are now living in Canterbury. Bridesmaids were Carys Jones and Lamorna Richards with Dan Williams best man. A reception was held at The Highwayman, Carnforth.
