She's offered a first class service to thousands of customers at the busy County Road post office - but it all ends next Saturday when Anne Johnson calls it a day.
Anne, from Eccles, Lancashire attended Liverpool University, where she studied French.
She told QLocal: "After graduating, I went into teaching for 30 years.
"I met my husband in Liverpool, and we have a daughter and three almost grown-up grandchildren."
The family lived in Aintree until 2001, moving to Ormskirk.
"After leaving teaching, I spent a couple of years doing some college courses and we also had the holiday of a lifetime, spending five weeks touring northern California," she added.
Anne began working at County Road in 2007, on a part time basis, gradually taking on more and more responsibility.
"On the whole, my experience has been very positive," she told reporter Roger Blaxall.
"I have enjoyed the work and in particular the interaction with the customers, who have always been very pleasant and patient even when the queues are long!
"I am sorry to leave, but looking forward to having more free time to pursue my hobbies and taking life a little easier."
