Aughton WI’s annual Christmas Charity Project for 2020 is to support the Ormskirk Foodbank.

Members will donate bags of required food for the charity and will deposit it at ‘The Hut’ on Town Green Lane - and they're now inviting the local community to join in, too!

How can you help?

Please use a very strong carrier bag – preferably a Bag for Life.

Types of food really needed: Long life milk & fruit juice, breakfast cereal, soups, tinned vegetables & fruit, tinned meat, biscuits, tea and coffee, and pasta sauce.

And with Christmas in mind: Selection boxes, Christmas cake and pudding, mince pies, tinned ham & salmon, chocolate novelties, and boxes of biscuits.

The Foodbank is grateful for all donations but please no fresh or frozen food - or anything containing alcohol.

Please drop off your donation on November 17 at The Hut, Aughton WI, Town Green Lane, Aughton L39 6SF. Times are 12noon – 1pm & 7pm – 8pm .

A committee member will be there to accept donations safely and securely.
