There will be an update tomorrow - Lancashire Constabulary’s PR office have confirmed there was an incident but referred Blaxall to the BTP press office which closes at 5pm on weeknights...

The e-mail reads: ‘There was an incident last Tuesday night at about 03:00, when a man was electrocuted on the railway track in Ormskirk, near the 3rd bridge in the direction of Liverpool.

I was wondering why the story had not appeared in your news feed. I heard he was a 19-year-old Edge Hill student and was taken to Aintree hospital.

Police, Fire Service and ambulance crews attended. I was wondering if he had survived.

There has been no coverage of this in the media, possibly because it was the same night of the Preston death, also with it being in the early hours of the morning, a night when a lot of students were running around Ormskirk celebrating Halloween.’

yep i saw this on my way home from work about 3am lots of police and fire engines the whole street was lit up
