The gentrification of Scarisbrick continues with new plans unveiled for a luxury housing development that'll transform the derelict Bidvest site off Southport Road.
Eccleston Homes wants to build 22 detached executive homes off Black Moss Lane - the proposed development would contain a mix of four and five bedroom detached properties.
The development - if approved - will create 57 on-site jobs and support 71 off-site jobs in construction related industries over the period of the build.
Planning documents for the development conclude that it meets the social component of sustainable development by providing the supply of housing required to meet the needs of present and future generations; and by creating a high-quality built environment, with accessible local services that reflect the community’s needs and support its health, social and cultural wellbeing.
There will be landscaping, wildflower seeding, bulb planting, and hedge and tree planting there.
