A well known Ormskirk businessman challenged Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner live on air yesterday to explain how the force deals with coruption.
Referred to as 'Paul from Ormskirk', you can hear Commissioner Clive Grunshaw's response on the new Mike Stevens show which aired for the first time yesterday afternoon at 2pm here: Afternoons on BBC Radio Lancashire - With Mike Stevens - 15/01/2021 - BBC Sounds; the question comes at 1.51.
He asked: 'Is Lancashire Police best placed to investigate any allegations of police corruption?' with Grunshaw's answer punctuated by a few (nervous?) coughs, and summed up by this comment: "It's vitally important that the public have trust and respect for the police and if that falls down in any way it needs to be challenged."
