As many in the country face the stark choice of eating or heating this shouldn't be a problem for Members of Parliament at the House of Commons at these prices.

Absolutely obscene that MP’s, already being paid (notice I avoided saying earn), well in excess of £80000 a year, are allowed to take advantage of fine dining at the fraction of the real cost. The most sickening part of all this is that the taxpayer is subsidising this greed and gluttony, and some of these taxpayers are having to rely on food banks to just to survive.

Why so many options?

Surely, three choices (one being vegetarian) for each course would be enough?

Interesting how there is no consensus to get rid of the staff "canteen".

No party seems to boycott the many outlets.


We shouldn't forget that it isn't just MP's who use the facilities;

Members of both Houses, their staff, House staff, civil servants, contractors’ staff, members of the Press Gallery etc.) as well as members of the public and non pass holding visitors to Parliament
