A small number of floral tributes in the garden of Pontville School, Ormskirk is growing following the tragic deaths of a pupil and member of staff last week.
The teenager who died has been named as 14 year old Joe Cairns from Radcliffe, near Bury, Lancashire.
His mum and dad, Steph and Andy Cairns, have paid the following tribute to him: "Joe, our brave boy, a true fighter with a heart of gold. An amazing sense of humour and infectious smile, a true superhero.”
Joe, along with Anne Kerr, 50, from Southport were in a minibus travelling to Pontville School when the incident happened. Joe was a pupil there and Anne was a member of staff.
Police are continuing to investigate the two collisions on Tuesday (8 January) morning. If you witnessed either collision, or have any relevant dash cam footage, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
