An Aughton car wash and car sales business could both have to close by August with news that a new garage and store are planned there.
James Hall of Preston - who also run the Spar on Southport Road, Ormskirk - has given tenants notice to quit and will soon be unveiling plans to re-develop the site.
Owner of the car wash, Ormskirk's Mark Wissett - who only moved there a few years ago from Dingle Bells - was keen to stress yesterday that it'll be 'business as usual' when he reopens after lockdown, adding that he is saddened to have to leave after building up business there at such a popular site.
It's the same story for Mark, the car salesman who has around 15 - 20 cars there on a permanent basis. A self employed mechanic from Southport will also have to find a new job, while the garage will also hit the likes of 'Gravy Dave' and his mini mart on Moss Delph Lane.
QLocal's Roger Blaxall's awaiting a statement from the PR team at James Hall.
