From Martin Witter, Head of Ormskirk School following yesterday's A Level results: "Thanks to the hard work of our students, their families and the staff, the young people at Ormskirk School Sixth Form produced some excellent results in this year’s examinations.
"Over 32% of our students gained at least 1 A* A (or equivalent) grades this year. 38% of our A level students achieved 3 A*-C grades.
"Students following applied general and vocational courses also continued to achieve excellent outcomes.
"It is also pleasing to note our 99% pass rate.
"These achievements allow our young people to leave Ormskirk School 6th Form and continue their individual journeys to higher education, apprenticeships or the world of work.
"A significant number of our young people will now progress to top universities and we are able to celebrate some exceptional individual performances.
"We believe that our Sixth Form College provides a wonderful opportunity for students to fulfil their academic, vocational and extra-curricular potential in a caring and vibrant community and we look forward to more students joining us in September."
