Parts of Ormskirk ground to a halt yesterday as LCC organised the replacement of a set of key traffic lights at the junction of Stanley St. and Wigan Rd.
It meant a five minute journey took anything up to twenty minutes - the work will be continuing today, too.
Last night, temporary lights were in operation of all four side of the junction which weren't timed to work in sync.

Let's hope they fix the sensor in the road on the left hand side of Stanley Street,
Otherwise we'll keep having to putting one wheel on the right hand side sensor to make the lights realise there are cars waiting
