The Rotary Club of Ormskirk Clocktower recently donated £100 to help the fantastic work done in our community by staff and volunteers at The Grove Youth and Community Centre in Burscough.
The money was used to finance some activities at their children's Summer Club, where young people were taught about cooking healthy meals using cheaper ingredients such as fresh local vegetables.
They ate the food for their lunch and made menu cards to take home to show their parents.
Clocktower President Steve Graham told QLocal this evening: "I am so pleased we could support the Grove with its Summer Children's Club programme this year!
"It was lovely to see photographs of the children cooking such delicious looking food!'
