Scouting without adults would not exist - and Scouting without adults would not be fun!
Did you know that adults inspire, teach, protect and learn while helping Scouts? Over 100,000 adults from all walks of life help 400,000 young people each year; this might be as a leader, as a helper, as a fundraiser or one of the many other roles you could do as a volunteer.
Are you able to give up some of your valuable free time to help the next generation of Scouts?
Are you willing and open to learning new skills?
Are you able to inspire, nurture and encourage young people?
If you answered yes to any of the above statements, then you might be just the person that Ormskirk and District Scouts are looking for!
It's had an adult recruitment week to promote all the different ways people can get involved, which ended with a drop in event at The Civic, in Ormskirk to see what Scouting is all about.
Although we would like adults who are able to work directly with the young people on a weekly basis, we welcome those who only have the odd day at a weekend, one evening a month, or a morning free.
There are groups all over West Lancashire, and you are never more than three miles away from your nearest one: ormskirkscouts.org.uk/
