Detectives have issued CCTV stills of two males they believe could have information which would assist enquiries following a robbery in Liverpool city centre in November.
Officers were called in the early hours of 10 November following a report two men had approached a man on North John Street, engaging him in conversation at about 2am.
The victim then walked onto Harrington Street at which point he was struck to the head by one of the offenders. The offenders then took his wallet containing cash, bank cards and his driving license were taken.
The victim was not injured but was left very shaken by the ordeal.
An investigation was launched and house to house, forensic and CCTV enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Constable Alan Brady said: "I would appeal to the males in these images, or anyone who recognises them, to contact us as we believe they could hold vital information which will help our investigation into this incident.
"This was a very shocking incident for the victim, who was a visitor to the city enjoying a night out, and is clearly completely unacceptable. I would urge the local community to come forward and help us to catch the people responsible."
Anyone with information about the incident or who recognises the two males in the stills is asked to contact Merseyside Police social media desk via Twitter @MerPolCC or Facebook Merseyside Police CC. You can also call 101 quoting incident reference 18400029668 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or via their online form at: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-in...ve-information.
