I wish him well, he is one of the very few politicians who I would have trust in, came from a working background, his route into politics through the trade union movement, had a way of dealing with missile throwing protesters which didn't involve lengthy court cases.

"In 2004 he slated hereditary peers as “an offence against democracy”. In 2008 he went further, saying: “I don’t want to be a member of the House of Lords. I will not accept it.” He pronounced himself “against too much flunkery and titles” and said titles had “never excited” him"
He's a typical hypocrite

He isn't an hereditary peer, although I was surprised and disappointed when he accepted a peerage.

He stood in the 1968 General Election in the Southport Constituency when Tories walked every election but it ended when they threw us to the Bootilian lions in 73. A very good speaker and almost Skinner like in his derision of the tories.

Tories still won in Southport general elections from 1974 - 1983. Ronnie Fearn won in 1987, then Tories won again in 1992. After that it was Lib-Dems forever, until "I've never seen a camera I didn't like" and "don't judge me by how I vote, judge me by what I say I do" Damien Moore came to power.
Even locally the Tories held the majority on Sefton Council until 1984. Then it was no overall control until Labour took the majority in 2012.

A complete to55er if ever there was one. He'll probably get booted out next time but will still have picked up around half a million thanks to the tax payer.

For all of your sakes, I hope so. Moore is an MP who still has the mentality of a local councillor, interfering in local government at every opportunity he gets. He puts me in mind of some Lib-Dem councillors, such as Tony Dawson, whose whole reason for being is to sling mud at the local government opposition.
It could be argued that Dawson has a right to do that, although I believe it could be handled in a more mature manner. Moore, however, should keep his beak out. His claims are ridiculous. His knowledge of local political history and the Sefton area is non existent. I swear he's never been South of Formby in his life.
One minute he's posing for one of his endless photos at an RSPCA branch, praising the work they do to stop animal cruelty. Behind the scenes he's voting against a bill to recognise that animals are sentient beings who feel pain. Hypocrites... I hate, loathe, and despise them.

Thats a swerve from Prescott to Moore.
Prescott speaking his mind even when so often wrong is infinitely preferable to that man who apparently represents us in Parliament to no apparent effect.
I would have much preferred the Dems Sue Mcguire and that shows you how little I think of him.
The oxymoron that is the Liberal Democrats really annoy me.
