Oh dear it seems like a couple of posters on this thread have totally got the wrong end of the sh***y stick and want to beat those of us who are fed up with it.

This is not about obsession. Quite the opposite in fact. Allow me to clarify.

I am simply NOT interested in someone else's sexuality so why do they think I am?

It is a novelty for some people just to be free to express and enjoy their life without hiding or covering up.

For those that do not have these complications in acceptance and day to day life I feel the pleasure too.
Particularly when you remember many people lost their lives through murder or suicide just for being different.

There are thousands of people who unfortunately commit suicide for one reason or another, and it is sad that they feel the need to do so. But by screaming they are gay, transgender or whatever is not helping their case, for they are showing publicly that they ARE different. It is not their sexual attitudes that lead to suicide - it is their own mental state and it does not matter what label is placed on that mentality, these people will still be the same in their own minds!

Few people can understand the present problem. These people have now been given the right to be free to state whatever they want, to show people who they are, to act and behave in their own way - they now have the freedom that they did not have before. There are no limits, no restrictions, no guidelines, and they cannot handle it.

The obsession with what gays actually "do" amuses me. I went to a local Pride day and I didn't see a single reference to actual sexual practices.

I wonder how many posters simultaneously express oblique disgust for some male homosexual practices, and alternate between pestering their wives to indulge in the same acts and checking out the "lesbian" porn on Pornhub.

Why are you so interested about the suicide rates amongst LGBTIQA+ people?

If your interest is not from a place of concern and compassion, then what is its source?

It's almost as if you are referencing higher suicide rates as an excuse to call for the hard-won freedoms to be revoked, and for LGBTIQA+ people to get back into their closets.

If you knew any gay people I think you would find you have common conversational ground talking about the effects of repression.

If you have no interest then don't watch the news or post on threads on the subject, same suggestion to the OP, why create a thread (so eloquently put) that will clearly start the usual debate, disagreements if you have no interest?
