There doesn't seem a good reason for them to charge anyone as Asda refunds and the rest are shut.
Couldn't they be doing something useful to society ?

Apart from gearing up for the coronavirus increase I would imagine most of the emergency services are quiet.
The clampdown should be helping to reduce allsorts of things from car accidents to drunken friday night brawls.
A&E should be able to operate a bit quicker until the expected flood starts, some of the staff will be in for a big shock as they will just have to work harder instead of being carried.
Saying that they are probably self isolating already.

To subsidise the council(s) let them enforce excess social gatherings with £80 fines, not picking on parking and dog walkers over 2m, and litter louts - they could make a fortune and save the country too

If there was a queue to pay for parking at the payment meters, with LESS than the recommended 2 metre between ruling, then they would probably slap people with tickets, knowing how greedy some of these parking attendants can be.
