Yep! All of Lancashire on Lockdown from next Tuesday - Liverpool Echo. I do hope the virus knows that it must not be active until then.

Heard the same, Grassy.
A chap I know who is 'connected' (but distantly, so I'm not betting cash) said last week they are looking at the full lockdown. Depending how the 'Rule of 6' turns out. But that's common knowledge now anyway.
Just time for a run on beans and bogroll again.
Sharpen those elbows if you're off to Morrisons.

What has our MP done about having Southport excluded from the lockdown, the surge in cases has been in Litherland, Netherton & Maghull so why has he not been having Southport excluded on the same basis as Blackpool?

OK, a few questions (I've looked on govt and BBC websites and not found the answers, so thought someone on here may know):
1. I am planning to visit an elderly relative for a few days on Sunday. She lives in an area with no local restrictions. As I am leaving before the lockdown starts on Tuesday will that be ok?
2. I am due to meet up with 3 friends, one of whom has been isolating. We were going to do this nice and safely in her garden, but this will now be banned. We could however, meet up in a pub (!) - but one of the friends can't drive and I presume I can't give her a lift?

Its quite simple really - this virus spreads by face to face contact mainly, hence lockdowns and restricted movements, and meeting people.
Do you really want to risk you or your friends catching the virus!

I'd say yes to the first one. Haven't a clue on the second. I'm guessing if your friend isn't in your 'bubble', then it may be a problem. Though if you've no problem being in such close quarters, I doubt anyone will stop you.

Why is Blackpool being excluded? I've seen that it is on the news a few times, but without explanation.

Shouldn’t be too surprised, only a few weeks ago the government were encouraging everyone to “eat out to help out”, get down the pub, and of course let’s get the kids back to school, We were told it was perfectly safe, Matt Hancock yesterday admitted that children were spreaders, Boris today said that children could pass it on to adults, which we are now paying for.
Pi$$ up and brewery come to mind
