B) Wrong. This business only supplies and installs (at really GREAT prices! ) Govt (DEFRA) approved stoves. Stoves that are so clean, they appear on Local Authority lists of appliances suitable for use in Smoke Control Areas (smokeless zones). Heating a property with a renewable fuel, adds zero CO2 to the atmosphere. Whereas, heating a property with a fossil fuel like gas (as I presume you do) only adds to atmospheric CO2, causing global warming and sealevel rise......So who's the hypocrite now?
We know you have an electric bike you keep telling us you try and big your eco credentials up with talk of electric vehicles its ********.
We know you sell lung busting super polluting stoves out of the back of a smelly old diesel van.
We know your stupid enough to keep bringing it up and giving me the opportunity to puncture your ********.
You are comedy gold.
So here's another piece to rubbish your claims this time from Defra as you keep bandying the name about;
With wood burning stoves and coal fires being the single largest source of the pollutant PM2.5 – emitting twice the contribution of industry and three times the contribution of road transport – these measures will help to tackle a form of pollution that penetrates deep into our hearts, lungs, and blood, and has been identified by the World Health Organisation as the most harmful air pollutant for human health.
Wood and coal burning accounts for 40 per cent of harmful levels of background PM2.5 in the UK, and our research has shown that toxic PM2.5 can enter the bloodstream and damage our heart and circulatory system.
A Defra stove still pollutes even when used correctly but most of them will still be burning any old rubbish that will burn.

A) You should have taken up my offer (on earlier thread about same), of popping down to yours with it, for your leisurely perusal. Then instead of speculating, you'd have seen what form of vehicle I'm running for person transport. Btw, I do still cycle and make good use of my bike.
B) Still no response to my earlier question then: What makes our diesel vehicle so different from 100's of others in town, that it comes in for such harsh criticism?
C) You brought stoves and 'diesel vans' up mate, not me. Same as you've done countless times before, providing endless comedy entertainment for all.
D) Did it never occur to you, that a fair percentage who buy a smokeless stove, are in fact upgrading from a pre-existing, inefficient (30%) and smoky old coal fire?
E) Technically speaking, many things 'pollute' - even a common-or-garden backside!
N.B. As solid fuel goes, nothing even comes close to beating a DEFRA stove for cleanliness. Add in the fact that it's a high (80%+) efficiency appliance, is fully UK Govt approved and carbon neutral. Not to mention a real asset to any home and a wonderful comfort in cold weather.

This is one of the reasons why I won’t be rushing out to buy an all electric vehicle as my main / daily drive just yet, I have a friend who has a Jaguar I-Pace (an absolutely fantastic car) who had similar problems travelling to Cornwall.
For nipping around town, and if you only ever charge them at home, they’re fine but for business purposes or long journeys until the infrastructure improves, as the article suggests it’s a bit of a gamble.

Take time to read the article, there’s an awful lot of work to be done before anyone who does regular long trips should feel comfortable setting off.

Agree about long journeys/high mileage usage being a problem at present. Even with charging infrastructure in place, there's still the issue of time taken to charge. Having to sit around at M-way charging points for a couple of hours would be pretty inconvenient.
N.B. Carrying a Honda generator in the boot might be a plan for some, to use as backup in case the worst happens in a remote location.

As I said your the gift that keeps on giving without the sense to shut up,
so here we go,
name your electric vehicle.
Your diesel vehicle gets singled out because you keep preaching about how dirty they are yet you still have one its called HYPOCRISY.
Your dirty stoves get singled out because they are one of the most polluting forms of heating and in some cases the most polluting form of heating again more HYPOCRISY
If you didn't keep lying about your environmental concerns then you wouldn't get a peep out of me,
but you haven't the sense to shut up and in the process, people get put off buying your stinking stoves for me and the environment its win-win for you it's lose, lose.
I have little doubt you are stupid enough to carry on.

A) No chance, I value my down-the-road anonymity too much when using it.
B) We got the diesel unit at a time when there were no viable alternatives, as have many others. I'm all for trading it in for an electric equivalent, when the figures for doing that stack up.
C) Disagree. While stoves in general have issues, as do open coal fires, etc. There's no cleaner form of solid fuel heating than a DEFRA stove.
D) Well, what do you expect? We're in the business to fulfil a demand for a product. A product that, unlike fossil fuels, adds zero long-term CO2 to the environment. A product sold at a deliberately low profit-margin, not only to bring in more custom, but because it helps both us and our customers do our part in the fight against climate change.

Its like wack-a-mole ;
Bioenergy is not carbon-neutral and can have seriously negative climate impacts. The combustion of forest biomass
generally releases more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere than fossil fuels, because of the lower energy density and
conversion efficiency of biomass (more has to be burnt relative to fossil fuels).9,10,11,12
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9H...IzZE8zQWc/view
Look who the letter is from.
So in your own words, your environmental concern is purely financially based.
Keep posting your crap I'm sure we can stop some more people investing in one of those lung destroying stoves between us.

A) That may or not be true....What is undeniable, is trees planted as a crop in rotation, absorb the same amount of CO2 as they release when burnt. Sadly, the same can't be said for fossil fuels like natural gas. CO2 emitted from a gas fire/boiler is on a one-way trip into the atmosphere!
B) Read my earlier post on the subject properly....We deliberately price jobs low, not only to draw in more custom (From £1,250 for a complete 5kw installation). But to encourage more homes to switch to a clean and renewable form of heating, to counter climate change.
I'd challenge anyone to find a new 5kw stove, 10m heavy duty flue liner and the other associated parts necessary to do an installation, for much under £1k. Bearing in mind I also have to pay the lads, there isn't much meat left on the bone for me. Fortunately I do have another form of income covering the household bills, or our prices would have to rise.
C) No worries mate, most people recognise a bargain when they see one. particularly so, when the competition is asking upwards of £2k for the same end product!

Accusations of hypocrisy with respect of air quality and climate change deserve to be heavily discounted. Who escapes the charge? In terms of managing natural resources including forests, our politicians on our behalf happily accept questionable science in preference to lifestyle sacrifices.
Claims made for the efficacy of bio-energy are complex and difficult to unravel; in any case, they always involve a trade-off of some sort.

That's what I find too......Individuals (and even Local Authorities) who make practical attempts to reduce carbon footprints, often catch most flack from the most gross polluters.

What gets me is this :
The total UK output of C02 is a mere 1% of worldwide C02 production (official calcs), so even IF we reduced to 0%, it would have ZERO effect on climate change, as other countries C02 output is growing!
For instance:
The newest and biggest coal mine in the world is in Australia, and its output is exported to India
Drax, the UK's biggest power station, yes it has reduced its C02 output by converting from coal to wood pellets, but those pellets by the ship load are imported from Canada!
PLastic carrier bags, we have to pay 5p/10p for them or re-use, in the Far East, they go through millions EACH day for street food take-aways, and that aint going to change any time soon.

But if nobody changes their ways, we'll eventually melt all the ice - and sealevels will rise more than 70m.....Even a rise one tenth of that, will very likely see hundreds of millions of poor people displaced. Should it come to that, we'll need a ring of gunboats around the coast to stop those guys invading in their hordes!

If you don't pretend to be green then it's much harder to pin accusations of hypocrisy.
If you don't preach to others about your faux green lifestyle you escape charges of hypocrisy the eco clown hasn't yet cottoned on to that.

Wack-a-mole continues, you write;
[I] That may or not be true....What is undeniable, is trees planted as a crop in rotation, absorb the same amount of CO2 as they release when burnt
Tree takes 50-100 years to grow ten hours to burn.
In that 50-100 years a bio diverse eco system develops with the tree.
Then there is the processing and delivery but we can leave that till you next put your smoke-filled head up, which sure as eggs are eggs you are dumb enough to do.
Keep on digging
