How many come to the UK in the very faint hope of meeting the Queen, or indeed sight of any “Royals”?

The Royal Estates turn in a profit in excess of three hundred million a year, Charles income from the Cornwall estates allow him to give his two sons five million each annually. Andrew has a fortune in excess of sixty million.
And yet we pay them on the civil list, and spend fifty eight million doing up Buck House so that they can make even more money!

It is a harmless legacy of history and tradition.
I do not get this desire to destroy British Heritage.

Destroy? No, Trim it back by about 98%, make both them and the church truly apolitical, and make the House of Lords and elected chamber, with no church personnel allowed to sit there and vote on matters of national importance.

No problem with that as long as it does not involve murder and pillaging.

I can"t see Charlie Boy taking enough time off from talking to flowers to make it work when his time comes, and the Commonwealth has had its day.
Will it be a president or will the PM's family be given duties?
Pretend?
Wow you're special.

If you follow the trail back in time I think that most of what they've got came from murder & pillaging none of them have sweated for it, the only one that sweats is Andrew when there's a knock at the door.

I don't think Harry is being pilloried because of his military service. No-one can deny he has done his bit and did it well. It's his present day attitude and actions that have annoyed people.
