Johnson should either deny, with proof all the stories, or put his hands up and accept whatever, the real downside is that no-one is remotely surprised, all that will happen is the nodding dogs will continue to parrot the same meaningless statement and just hope it all fades into the background.
The party faithful will continue to put party first no matter what, most of the rest don't trust Johnson anyway, no change then.

No one cares! Maybe that's a good thing if it means people can 'get on with it' rather than spend endless wasted hours dealing with drivel.
My point remains - if that's the best HM'S opposition can drum up then we're stuffed. The opposition at the moment makes Geoffrey Howe, (Thatcher's 'savaged by a dead sheep'), look like the alpha male in the hardest pride of lions in Africa!
The problem for the opposition has been with the pandemic they haven't been able to oppose much but now that is at an end they can start to return to business as usual.

Downing St are now 'failing to deny' both allegations.
It's not the opposition that he needs to fear it's his 'friends ' on the benches behind him.
If Labour have proof I shall not need to worry about their accusation in election fever.

Better have proof.

Not made my mind up yet. TBH anything would be an improvement.
The grandkids think my hair is hysterically funny on zoom calls. On account of it growing outwards instead of down.
I'll probably go back to my boring old style. I'm not very adventurous

Unfortunately though, business as usual is resembling a primary school playground rather than the statesmanship and gravitas we should have.

This morning Ed Davey, leader of the Irrelevant Democrats, decided to chip in and grab some grubby political capital from the allegations.
Awful, shameful, disgraceful, confidence - yadda yadda yadda.
Then he was asked about his time as minister responsible for the Post Office when the Horizon IT system scandal was developing.
Pause to swallow nervously and compose sorrowful face and then proceed to absolve himself of all responsibility. He wishes he'd asked more questions, coincidentally the same wish held by those whose lives were ruined, in some cases, ended. Really, sudden clusters of large accounting discrepancies where previously there were none - discrepancies which coincided with the implementation of a new IT system.
At the time he saw nothing to inquire about - now - he's demanding an inquiry.
Bottom line - throws his hands up and claims he did all he could - I'll leave others to draw their own conclusions.

The job of Prime Minister comes with a flat.
As a landlord, most tenancy agreements, states that you cannot decorate without the landlord's permission.
In this case the landlord ( the taxpayer ) gives £30,000 for decorating. If it cost more the tenant pays.
May I say after looking at the designers work, I would prefer magnolia or white walls. All the furniture is bought by the tenant, who takes it with him when leaving.
I can't see how painting or papering walls costs so much.

Boris Johnson must be loving the coverage.
It enures the electorate and makes enemies of the hostile media.
Most of us don't give a toss about his redecoration of OUR building and are perhaps a little disappointed that someone else hasn't paid for it.
His comments about the pandemic and "bodies" need context to consider what exactly was said and why.
Johnson is far from perfect and his enemies reduced to endless gossiping does him no harm and makes them seem even more irrelevant.

Like rats in a sack, each party have skeletons in their cupboards which another party picks up and like a dog with a bone will not let it go even though they have plenty of bones already.
LibDems are an irrelevance, Labour had one of the biggest wheeler dealers in Mandelson who could conjure money up from all sorts of sources. They really need to look on their own doorstep before accusing others, I did hear a saying can't think where "he who is without sin cast the first stone".
