The first thing I’d do, would be to go online and have a look to see if any other reputable news agencies are running the same story. Found this diverse range of links from the first page off a Google search.
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...w/77216803.cms
https://www.newslaundry.com/amp/stor...the-sundarbans
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/m...llegal-logging
https://news.mongabay.com/2019/07/in...and-sinks/amp/
https://www.independent.co.uk/climat...62267.html?amp
https://indiaclimatedialogue.net/201...limate-crisis/
By this judgment, id say it is an accurate report, and indeed yes, the Sundarbans do appear to be sinking.
No doubt with your vast array of climate change denying drivel, your about to prove me wrong though?

The BBC merely report what is happening, they aren’t offering opinion or pushing some agenda, of course in your world you will have this as some form of propaganda.

It is not that the area is sinking - it is that the population to the area has naturally increased and trees have been removed for housing, about 50%.
Far from damage being caused by Global Warming and glaciers melting - the building of a damn in India in 1975 has diverted water away from the delta which has reduced the freshwater supply and increased salinity that kills off mangroves.
The report focus's on Islands which are gradually disappearing under the rising seas - without describing how deltas form and evolve. Low lying islands and mud flats continually erode and grow back due to the force of tides, storms, flooding and sedimentation.
Climates do change. It is all part of Earth's natural events and it has been occurring for millions of years.

Here we go again.
Another thread where the rest of us with an ounce of common sense (and 97% of the world's climatologists) can see what is happening in the world, and the resident conspiracy theorist / Covidiot is determined to change everyone's minds.
Nobody will be convinced. Etc, etc.

How do you know what is true?
As a rule of thumb, the truth is most often the opposite of anything you claim.

But there's no record of it changing anything like as rapidly as it now is.....The present rate of change is completely unprecedented, which I find rather worrying.

If it is a lie who would benefit from telling it?
If it is the truth who would benefit from suppressing it?

Man or nature we don't want it and man is at the very least making it worse.
Besides who wants to live in a smog filled dirty world (PNP apart).
So why make the argument, no version of warming is helping, it seems pointless.
Do the BBC invent and exaggerate news? yes of course they do but for there to be the global conspiracy needed to support your argument one has to mix some very strange bed-fellows.
Why not just support a cleaner less polluted world and not bother yourself with climate science?

A) Very few, apart from climate scientists and possibly the bike industry.
B) BIG oil, BIG coal, BIG gas, BIG plastics, BIG carmakers, to name but a few.

Fyi, for years I've been asking motorists to leave their smoking tailpipes at home whenever they can - and get on their bikes! Of course, it doesn't help achieve that end, when a certain someone objects to any and every safe cycle infrastructure proposal.

You sell and promote smoking "tailpipes" are you in denial or have a split personality disorder?
You even drive the very things you condemn.
