I’ve said several times on this thread that we (UK) could go 100% renewable energy, 100% electric transport and 100% vegan tomorrow and it wouldn’t put a dent in the problem.
But I was told I’m wrong.
Yes, we need to do our bit but the finger need pointing at the major culprits, if they don’t change their ways, whatever we do is futile.

Your constant problem is you are comparing your stoves with open fires, that is like comparing a late sixties car with a Model T, but of course those late sixties cars don’t come close to what is available today, same applies to your stoves.
Single room heating, constant adjustment and attention needed, the only thing you have left is your alleged carbon neutral fuel, which it clearly isn’t.

A) I compare stoves to open/gas fires, because that's invariably what they replace.
B) 'Single room' heating? Depends on the property. At one end of the scale, you have the single cash-strapped pensioner, who desperately needs to keep one room warm, but can't afford to put on their gas fire or expensive central heating. At the other, there's the large family in a detached with massive rear kitchen/diner extension, that requires high output space-heating......Stoves come in a wide range of sizes to suit the volume to be heated, and will work well in either of the above cases.

Your ability to go off at a tangent and wriggle out of an argument beggars belief. You should really have become a politician and at least created a useful retirement fund...

Having received so many smartly worded excuses from the DfT, the Treasury, various Ministers etc, over the years, to my requests for more spending on cycle provision, is that any surprise?

Indoor cycling can't really hack it 24/7....It would be problematic riding on the bog/in bed, etc.

The selfish ones are blocking the Blackwall tunnel this morning.
People suffering from ill health, missed appointments, job income, missed schooling, etc ignored.
Not least the pollution caused.
As I started with, Insulate Britain, why don't they?

The video footage of the sobbing lady who was trying to get to the hospital where her 81 year old mother lay gravely ill pleading with the protestors to let her through was heartbreaking. How can these people in all good conscience allow such suffering? They are selfish cultural Marxists bent on breaking down society and they care not one jot for whom they hurt in the process. The Police need to arrest every single one of them, the CPS need to prosecute every single one of them and the judiciary jail every single one of them. For 5 years minimum. Then they might reconsider their repulsive, selfish actions.
I'm only happy when it rains....

To do all this you would have to release all the murderers and rapists from prison and stop investigating serious crime.
Just a thought why was that woman travelling across London by car, surely the quickest, easiest and cheapest way would be on the tube particularly when there is a fuel shortage and rocketing prices.
