M offer of £1,000 of personal money plus some billions of debt is winging its way to them.
I have never been to Old Trafford and know very little about football so I am optimistic.

Yes you are correct , the Glaziers bought the club by borrowing millions and millions of dollars then lumped the dept into the club so u t were left owing millions and millions of dollars plus the interest .

I don't know about selling Utd but they are selling shares in Utd which apparently the Football Club will not see a penny of.
Teaming up with Yanks is not worthwhile they know nothing about football they don't care about the supporters who have watched them for years all they want is money.
I was reading that Liverpool supporters can't get tickets for games because they are snapped up by corporate and travel companies which alienates the supporters who might live close by and can't attend yet foreigners can buy a package including tickets without any prior association whatsoever with Liverpool FC.
As far as I am concerned if Yanks want to do that then they will kill the game over here for certain clubs.

Probably 75 per cent of Manchester United "fans" have never been near the ground or have any genuine support as fans, but are happy to latch on to a (once) very successful club and pretend they are loyal followers.

The sale represents 8% of the family's total combined ownership, although they will still hold a combined 69% of the shares in United

Same as any other club that's had any success.

Thank goodness we have the likes of Stuart to annoint the "true fans". What is the point of building big stadia and getting expensive players if it doesn't bring in extra revenue ? Doesn't everybody have to start being a fan from somewhere. I went for a drink with an old school friend before lockdown and we recalled our journey.
It was 1970, there was no internet, no live football save the FA cup. We both lived in Bristol, then a long pre-motorway journey in an unreliable car to the nearest big club. We both got taken to Bristol Rovers matches at an early age, and both thought, "this is so s**t, we'll have to support a decent club". He chose Manchester City and now still travels occasionally to see them, but still has to go to the North West, Midlands or London to do so. Does that make him less of a fan than somebody unfortunate enough to live in the miles of slums surrounding the Etihad ?
Of course entertaining to read this on a Southport forum, when the "true fans" travel off to Liverpool or Manchester rather than enduring the Pub League games that happens at Haig Avenue.

I started off as a Southport FC supporter when they were a Football League club and then began to watch Liverpool and Everton as well on alternative weeks.
Eventually I chose to become a Toffees supporter as they were the genuine footballing side. I've never regretted my choice.

Yes Everton have a great history, and now they have a great manager in Benitez .
