Unfortunately the statute of limitations has run out for a criminal charge. Giuffre was only able to file a civil case due to temporary legislation in NY state enabling victims to file after statutes had expired. That legislation expired shortly after Giuffre filed her case.


I agree, his behaviour appears to indicate guilt. If he doesn't appear and contend the case, he'll be found guilty anyway. As the burden of proof is much lower in a civil court, chances are he would be found guilty. He's damned whatever he does. However not answering to the charges means we won't get to hear the prosecution's evidence. And I'm sure that's what Andrew wants to avoid at any cost. Airing royalty's dirty underwear is frowned upon in their circles!

I think she hasn't been bought off because of cost, past indiscretions of his and his brother have been bought off relatively cheaply but more is at stake this time.

Scotland Yard have 'investigated' and is taking no further action after reviewing allegations connected to Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein.
The force had assessed a document released in August 2021 as part of Virginia Giuffre's US lawsuit against the Duke of York.

On the one hand, Epstein was a businessman. He can't surely have dealt exclusively with paedos.

On the other, if Gates was only interested in meeting donors for his foundation, when none were forthcoming after the first few meetings, wouldn't he be savvy enough to figure out it wasn't going to happen? Would he continue to meet Epstein for 'years'?

According to 'The Week', Gates met Epstein for the first time in 2011. Epstein was already a convicted sex offender. Plus the relationship between the two men made Melinda Gates 'furious'. I mean, you just wouldn't, would you? Not for all the 'donations' in the world.

I can imagine anyone would be nervous talking about even one meeting with Epstein. But Gates is another in a seemingly long line of men who knew about his convictions, but still had a relationship with him. That isn't easily explained.

In response to the interviewer's first question, Gates starts trying to steeple his hands but soon can't help trying to push back down an imaginary ring on his ring finger!

The timing of the uneven shoulder shrugging is one to watch as well but I found his answer in the following exchange to be rather chilling especially when combined with the smile he used to deliver it:
