Agree....Question is, how come motorists with debilitating health issues are still driving about? Let's hope this one now has the good sense, to report their 'losing control' problem to the DVLA.

a health issue can strike out of nowhere like a stroke.

True....However, for every one of those unforeseen 'episodes', there must be many more where the person concerned was aware of having developed long-term issues, that could cause them to temporarily lose ability to control their vehicle. I wonder how many in this category, are prepared to tell the DVLA about it?

Perhaps you’re the one jumping to conclusions suggesting a medical issue - which hasn’t been mentioned in the news report. Just another case of bad driving - losing control is quite a difficult thing to do at 20mph….

Motorists have a curious habit, of believing that members of their fraternity never do any wrong....If an incident isn't down to a 'medical issue', then it's the result of swerving to avoid a non-existent cyclist - duh!

Do you include yourself in that sweeping assumption?
Just wondering as you couldn’t grasp the concept of what constitutes the offence of dangerous driving when commenting on how you were overtaken in a recent thread.

Non-existent cyclists. Don’t they only use the cycle lane on Houghton Street.
