I could equally have put up a post last week, about something quite shocking involving a hit on a ped down South....But nobody on the site wants to hear about that sort of thing, so I let it alone. Apart from which, really putting the spotlight on the motoring fraternity when they act up like this, could (and has in the past) lead to a ban.

Another absolute bare faced lie. There is no way in this world that you wouldn’t have taken an opportunity to castigate a motorist. ***t

Not prepared to comment further on the event, but it'll no doubt be on Youtube, so will let it speak for itself.
Meantime, with the 'Giro' not airing this evening for some reason, guess I'll have to make do with a good old helping of Caught on Dashcam, lol!

Never answers or responds to a question when a cyclist is plainly involved in a serious incident.
Tries to gloss over it then comes up with some obscure incident about a motorist.
Why don't we just all ignore him - he plainly needs psychiatric help.
Just crawl back under your rock, parasite!

Hardly obscure, mate...In fact anything but.
Nationally, it was one of the biggest stories of the week - hard to miss tbh!

But you still haven't made your personal comment on it! Still avoiding what was asked of you.

In a word - tragic. As are all road deaths, which is why those at the top try to create a safer environment for all road-users. E.g. by introducing Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, where the young and the elderly can cross their own street with an improved chance of making it to the other side.

More people are choosing to cycle every year, so collision figures relating to bikes are inevitably going to rise....Not least amongst those rising figures, are those relating to cyclists killed and seriously injured annually.

Has anyone considered that the PNP is winding you all up and you all fall for it every time?

Lol...Yet at end of day, I didn't even start the thread!
All I would say on this incident, is when a ped steps into the path of a bike without looking and is hit. It's hard to see how the outcome would be any different, had they done the same by stepping into the path of a car.

Returning to the original report of the cyclists and the collision with a pedestrian, the reported circumstances are that it was 7a.m. and probably fairly quiet on the roads, but the the cyclists seem to have been at fault in conducting some kind of informal time trial in an urban area. They should have observed the pedestrian and slowed, even though there was no zebra crossing, because, unlike vehicles, cyclists are not easily seen or heard on approach. It seems that there were no neutral witnesses and not enough evidence for the police to make charges.
However, whatever the facts were, it is shameful, and also belittling to the victim and her family to use this tragic and highly unusual accident to support some general anti-cycling prejudice

No, he's a pathetic troll and moron who thinks everyone should believe in what he and his multiple usernames say and if you don't you're anti cyclist.

If he is a troll, between his cycling and his 'green' issues, he does it very well.
He seems to troll the entire forum every time. Trolls love interaction.
Having said that, I just looked at the page the OP linked to. That guy should be in prison.
