We are very sad to report on the passing of Michael Howard an active member of Qlocal since 2009. People here will know him better as MICK/GILLY.

Rest in Peace to the greatest dad in the world, you gained your wings and flew but everything you told me and everything you taught me I’ll cherish forever and I’ll never let you down. 6:01pm 27/7/65-5/5/24.
I love you forever and more than you could ever know. Thank you for being my Dad!
Michael Howard

Very sad news. Mick was a lovely man and I often used his services or visited him at his Birkdale home for a chat.

He struggled for a long time, now he rests.
We seemed to meet in hospital.

You were an important poster Mick. The forum will not be the same without you.

Mick was a great guy, perhaps not everyone's cup of tea but he had a heart of gold. I remember moving a fridge freezer with him from a school we slipped and it went crashing down the stairs. Still works today. RIP

^Likewise. Fine guy, who gave good service for a good price...We met some years ago, when he was still in the removal business. Had him help move a family member of mine, to a new address in Marshside.

I don't post on here very much, but it was easy to see what a stalwart of this forum Mick/Gilly was. My condolences to his family and other loved ones.

Lovely guy. Had a few dealings with him. Suffered for a while with various illnesses. Only young. May he rest in peace.

RIP.
Like a couple of others, we rarely saw eye-to-eye on anything, but that's just forum nonsense. The to and fro is the best fun.
My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
The forum will be quieter without him, and not in a good way.

Had the odd battle royale or two with Mick as well. In the end we just respectfully avoided commenting on each others posts to avoid any more fireworks which the sites moderators were starting to get more than a little bit pssed off with.
So sad to hear of his passing, far too young, but by all accounts he had a very colourful and fulfilling life. Lovely comments from his son, someone Mick spoke about very fondly.
RIP.

Oh gosh, this is very sad news.
Most will know that Mick and I rarely (in fact I think never) saw eye to eye on the cyclist / motorist / infrastructure debate.
He was convinced I was PNP and I offered to meet him and clear the air but it never happened unfortunately.
All that aside it is very sad news to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace and may his family and friends find comfort in the happy memories they hold in their hearts.
RIP Mick.

So sad and so young. Rest in Peace Mick. Always enjoyed his posts and judging by his son’s comments he was clearly, a top bloke.
My commiserations to his family, and loved ones.
