Labours Barmy Boats Policy.
The new policy announced today is so ill thought it's definitely due a Rodney.
Amongst the gems.
Sir Keir Starmer will promise to make Britain's shores "hostile territory for people-smuggling gangs," as he sets out details of Labour's plans to tackle small boat crossings.
Surely no one will fall for this tosh.
*PS If you can't see the problem with the above lie down in a darkened room.

I can see problems.
The people smugglers will stay on the French side.
It will be just be a game of whack a mole.
All those do gooders preventing illegal immigrants being moved on
will accept the upped challenge.

It's just more lies for the gullible from Sir Beir and there is plenty of time for him to drop it.
Maybe someone might remind him of the "Clandestine Channel Threat Commander’ in the shape of former Royal Marine Dan O’Mahoney.
"His appointment is vital to cutting this route by bringing together all operational partners in the UK and in France" said one Priti Patel.
The rather obvious problem that the French don't mind waving off the boat migrants from their shores and pocketing our dosh seems to have been ignored.
For years in this country we have pursued Drug dealing gangs and it has failed miserably.
Maybe just maybe Sir Beir might look at what the EU is planning, which is very similar to the Rwanda scheme he and others who don't care about our people who have fought tooth and nail to stop and in the process cost us tax-payers Billions.
Paying £3,000 to cross the channel and ending up in Rwanda is a very strong deterrent should it ever happen and in any numbers.
Then we see their returns aspirations good luck with that.
I can just see Yvette in her Hijab having a chat with the Taliban
Then she could keep the Hijab on lower her head even further and have a chat with Irans, Pakistan and Turkeys leaders.
Stand by for many many more migrants hoping for a Labour victory.
The Conservatives have been weak and useless Sir Beir is just going straight for a lie from the start.

The other policy is a ban on buying Council homes.
Does that solve the hotel problem?

Send a hundred Special Constales over in plain clothes. Equip them each with a nice sharp craft-knife and let them casually patrol a one-mile stretch of French coastline each, along the worst affected hundred mile stretch......

That's what the French Police do, slash the boats, the problem with that is getting close enough to do it the people smugglers carry baseball bats amongst other things.

I was thinking more of patrolling casually amongst the dunes etc, where the boats are presumably hidden till conditions/the time for departure is right.

They do, that's what they were doing a few weeks ago when 5 died, they where in the dunes patrolling when they came across the boat that had just been launched but they couldn't get to it because of the guards with baseball bats and fireworks.
Often the boats are launched elsewhere and sailed to the launch area

Sounds like the Police are too spread out, or they would possibly have found it earlier. And if they are in uniform, there's no element of surprise....In plain clothes and with a bit of makeup, one could pose as a refugee and maybe get close enough to the boat, to stick a craftknife into it - then run!

Is that the armed French Police of whom there are around 150,000 who can't get past people with sticks?
Hope Putins not watching he will be invading France next with big sticks and fireworks.
Maybe it's their French government instilled fear of two centimetres of moisture?
They could use some of £millions we have sent them to secure their borders to buy some wellies.
The people of the French towns blighted by these illegals must be sick of their governments failure, which just encourages more and more.
The irony is that the EU is outsourcing its migrant problem to some very dodgy regimes already.
And perhaps Ursula Von der Leyen might show Sir Beir her parties Rwanda policy;
The European Commission chief, Ursula von der Leyen, has given her support to controversial migration reforms that would involve deporting people to third countries for asylum processing and the imposition of a quota system for those receiving protection in EU countries.
Manfred Weber, the leader of the European People’s party (EPP), said the policies – similar to the UK’s Rwanda scheme – had been worked out with all the parties in the EPP political group, which includes von der Leyen’s Christian Democrat Union in Germany.
Guardian.
We are lurching from a weak government inspiring EU policy to Sir Beir and his new found Brexititus what a hoot......................

The irony that the liar Starmer has vowed to drop the Rwanda third party processing scheme whether it works or not and yet on the other hand he says he will seek co-operation with the EU who are third party processing is a measure of his short confused thinking.
Perhaps he will take Natalie Elphicke along to the negotiations her ERG membership and old friends will be a help.
The country (so far) looking like we will lurch from a wet lettuce Conservative Party to a right wing Labour Party is fascinating for us non tribals.
And Starmer the liars history of dropping his pledges makes you wonder what will survive the year as someone points out the problems to him.
The idea that some super UK gang busting force will roam the world is frankly hilarious.
That's without getting to the return agreements with some of the worlds worst regimes.

Hi local ,do you really believe that the French police are doing their best to stop those illegals crossing the channel. They are as happy to say good bye to them.

"Whether it works or not"
Just demonstrates your failure to grasp what the problem is.
Even it it "worked" it would remove less than ONE PER CENT of the asylum seekers.
Leaving the small matter of what to do with the other 99%
As he pointed out.
We need grown-ups dealing with it.
The way you fall for it is a replica of the Native Indians giving up their lands for beads of coloured glass.
