Anyone for Tennis?
I'm up - waiting for Emma Raducanu semi final.
Just watched Canadian Fernandez win through to the final at age 19.
Come on our 18 year old Emma

She's doing remarkably well. Good on her.
I think she had a bit of a mental blip at Wimbledon. Can't say I blame her, given the occasion. But she seems to be really enjoying her US Open adventure.
Very best of luck in the final.

So was Greg Rusedski, who was born in Montreal.
There are several similar examples.

What are you prattling about, none of this is political in any way, for me delighted to see a youngster doing so well, she comes across as a very well balanced young lady, I can only hope that fame doesn’t change her too much, go girl, this old “lefty” wishes you all the best and whatever the final outcome, congratulations on a brilliant tournament.

Great to see, and I note she started young, first picking up a racquet aged just five - she's an inspiration to others.....And not the first time a successful sportsperson had their beginnings in their chosen field at a young age, it's clearly a recipe for success!

Is the match televised anywhere? I know it's on 5Live but I can't be doing with radio commentary for sport. Highlights on the Beeb on Sunday is a poor substitute.

Not really sure how that is relevant. Having to crowbar 'lefty' into everything smacks of obsession.
I think the entire country (well, those that give a monkey's either way) wish her well. Talent should be rewarded. As I jokingly alluded to it previously, it's good to see an immigrant representing her new country with such success.
I'll be cheering her on later.

Ha if only,
once her zillions start rolling in and like most sportspeople resting in accounts around the world.
