Emma comes across as someone who is very unlikely to change from being a hugely talented, mature, intelligent and likeable young woman to letting fame go to her head. Her work ethic alone is inspiring.

I don't normally like watching women's tennis, but this Emma Raducanu is something else, what a great player, and showed no nerves at all,and deserves every accolade she receives for winning the US Open ..... winning 9 matches, and hadn't played 3 sets in any matches on the way to the championship final................ Brilliant game with Emma winning 6-4 6-3..

Great win now she joins the millionaire club.
So she now is an automatic target for the lefty losers
The hypocrites.

Still an immigrant, then.
She's done her adopted country proud.
I particularly admire how she kept her composure and saw the match out after not only injuring herself, but had to endure the bitter complaints of her opponent.
Well done.

You’re obsessed, sure she has earned a lot of money, the operative word is earned her winnings, congratulations to Emma and good luck for the future.

Great match, quite the nail biter.
Given her wobble at Wimbledon I was impressed with her composure given that the majority of the crowd did not support her. Some where not above
mocking her when she had to toss the service ball a couple of times. At her age that could have had quite a chilling effect on her confidence.
If she's as competetive as she says she is she'll be kicking herself that she is not also Wimbledon champion now.
Looking forward to following her career.

What a remarkably illogical comment. It was only Emma's second appearance at Wimbledon, her career had barely started and she was ranked around the 330th woman player in the world.
You can check it out for yourself at:

and realise just what an astonishing feat she achieved for an 18-year-old at the Arthur Ashe Stadium...

Nothing I have written diminishes her victory in the US Open. Have you ever listened to her speak ?
She said: “At the beginning of the grass courts, I was coming fresh off my exams. I had three weeks to practise before my first tournament. I just built up every single match, every single win. I thought Wimbledon was such an incredible experience. Fourth round, second week, I couldn’t believe it. I thought, ‘What a great achievement. But I was still hungry."
Good on her. British sports people can sometimes lack the killer instinct and I bet she is hard on herself to achieve her goals.

Just remember when your telling us millionaires should pay more that she is now in that club and you can bet your last euro all her earnings won't be coming back to dear old blighty for Jeremies hip operation.
Oh and earned you think of her in the same breath as a care worker "earning her money"
Emma is a prime target for Keirs unicorn tax.

Not sure I quite follow all that. Can you insert appropriate punctuation?

Emma got her exam results a few days before the just finished US Open. The two weeks she is speaking about were at Wimbledon in July, her first tournament this year.
Getting the facts correct is important, so why you think she should have won Wimbledon is, as I said, somewhat illogical.

If I was you I would just ignore it all, far easier for you.

Are you enjoying that someone's stepped up to fill the vacancy of punctuation-checker? Have you been feeling nostalgic for Derek?
