Plough roundabout
So you're approaching the Plough roundabout from Preston, on Water Lane, and intending to exit onto the Coast rd.
Water lane vehicles have to stop due to traffic on the junction
Which lane should you be in while you wait at the roundabout ?
a. Left
b. Right
c. Either

Either.
I'd probably use the right lane personally BUT would be very wary (and give way to) anyone in the left lane going onto the Coast road in that situation... possibly going full circle around the roundabout if needs be.

As far as I am aware, if you approach a dual lane roundabout, you go in the left hand lane for the 1st or 2nd exit and the right hand lane for the 3rd, 4th etc. Having said that, I live near Kew roundabout and frequently see numpties using the outer lane and travelling all the way round the outside of the roundabout regardless of who is in the inner lane and where they are turning off.

Right hand lane but very aware of other vehicles on left hand lane not taking left hand exits and continuing onto coast road.

Probably correct to enter via right-hand lane, then indicate left and move to left lane whilst on r/bout....Having said that, I'd be more likely to simply use left-hand lane, indicating left as I passéd entrance to PNR. Reason, with no side or rear windows it's less easy to suss out what's happening to my left...wing-mirrors may not show a moped/bike/nippy car etc in blindspot.

B - right, lane indicating right, as you pass Preston New Road indicate left and exit the roundabout using mirrors to make sure no one on your inside.
"When taking an exit to the right or going full circle (unless signs or markings indicate otherwise):Signal right and approach the exit in the right hand lane
Keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to reach your exit
Signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you intend to take"

i live there right lane for coastal banks and preston.left for rufford rd an pnroad.biggest problem is from pn road and coastal the other way.left for coast or banks,if they try to cross over which is more frequent its a horn screamer.amazing though the kamikaze coast road users that take a chance going to preston.at least kew roundabout people are more chancer savvy.
