Who reads this stuff, anyway?
How many readers of these forum threads above and beyond those who trouble to post? - a small number of individuals do a very large proportion of contributions;
which of course, is fine. Still,
- a consequence seems to be that posters are acquainted with their fellow posters largely to the extent that they can anticipate others' reactions.
Do we love a barney?

Doubtless another predictable reaction: yes...

I read the majority of the threads even if they don't actually interest me. I do occasionaly start a thread. Participate on the word association & A-Z game daily (which seems to keep Qlocal going).
The only posters i have met is Grassroots & John Nolan, otherwise they are strangers to me, but i feel i can call them 'friends'

Do we love a Barney? Yes, pretty much. Personally I can vehemently disagree with folk on, say, politics, but completely agree on other topics. A bit of a Barney keeps the place going.
I read a lot of the threads, but there are some where I don't feel I've much of a contribution to make. Or I simply don't know enough on the subject. I know bugger all about building on flood plains, for eg.
I think we sometimes get stuck in 'squabble' mode. First to hold my hand up there . Other times it's entertaining.

There has to be an armourer to provide the ammunition whilst sitting back watching the salvo.

Speaking as a professional antagonist, yes it does add a bit of spice to the day.
Anyway, you seem to enjoy your own input, so based on the reason for this thread - is that also for the purpose for an argument?

I am going to say it; I am suspicious of SandgroundZero. 260+ posts in just over 8 weeks, weird fonts and displaced smilies... all very odd if you ask me.
Picking up on what ChrisR has said, I agree that a few of my fellow posters feel like friends to me which is bizarre as I don't actually know anybody and it is more than likely I have walked right past some in the street!

All you need to makes friends is to declare adulation of leftist politics.
The rest of us are just like strung conkers.
