Those of you who watched League of Gentlemen (probably not many in Southport for obvious reasons) will be aware that acronym is itself an acronym - "Actively Considering Reassignment Or Not Yet Made Your Mind Up".

There for the grace of God. Etc etc...
Believe me those souls are still not having an eay time,
especially when bigotry is still seeping through.

Why do you care?
You do know what science has proved over and over about homophobics, don't you? Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

Just had the radio on in the car and pop master was on. One of the contestants was a woman who wanted to wish her WIFE a happy birthday

You do know that same-sex marriage is legal in the U.K.? Try and put yourself in the place of gay people and think how you would feel with such negativity about your sexuality. I know so many young gay people that were too afraid to even tell their parents that they were gay for fear of their reaction. Please stop with the homophobic comments.
This site is getting worse - too many racist, homophobic and sexist people on here.

True, I often feel like I've been transported back to when I grew up in the 50s. For the most part my generation thought things would change in the future. Sadly, we were wrong. Legislation may have been introduced, but the mindset of many people remains in the dark ages.

It is sad, I agree, when any of those who promote their own sexual ideologies are bigoted against those people who do not agree with their views.

The Human Race is what it is! There are no two humans alike and it does not matter if you locked any one of that race up for twenty four hours a day, repeating whatever you would like them to believe for the rest of their lives - you will never change what that person is! Laws may have been passed in support of various minorities, the media can repeat whatever it likes, people can be called names for whatever reason - but you will never change the human race! If anything is dated at all - it is the belief that people can be controlled, that people can be made to believe in whatever it is those people want them to believe in - they cannot! Why should some people feel superior to others? No-one should believe in superiority over anyone else, everyone is entitled to live their live in the way they will legally, without interference from anyone.

Thankfully, the younger generation are far more accepting. I think it says more about the person criticising gay people than anything else.

You can help change the discriminatory views of others through education. If some of these people also spent time with young gay people and listened to the emotional turmoil some of them have been through, due to worrying about the reaction of others to their sexuality, they would think twice about posting negative comments about gay people online.

"........ the younger generation are far more accepting" is a statement from someone who does not socialise with young people! Young people have always been highly critical of everything and they still are.

Love is love whatever the circumstances - never was the old saying 'there's nowt so queer as folk' more appropriate or - more ironic.
'Disturbed' - you are a well known click-baiter of this parish!

You have no clue at all. Firstly, I have young adult children and have been around their MANY friends for years - from school friends, youth football teams, other youth activity clubs and also now university friends; never mind the other young relatives. Contrary to what you believe, young people aren’t critical of everything at all - I wasn’t myself when I was young either. I don’t personally know of one single young person who has ever had an issue with people being gay. Some of their friends are gay and they are all very rightly supportive of them. They do not see being gay as any different to being heterosexual. I think it is you who is clearly out of touch with young people and their views. I am around young people on a daily basis.
