He's probably doing what he usually does when the pressure's on. Hiding in a fridge somewhere.

Might be - but it is now pretty relevant. A new bill has passed, or is being passed into law. It is called the Covid - 19 Law. This is rather controversial at present since it calls on the general public to give up many of their Human Rights - supposedly for a two year period but which can be extended at will. The new bill means that people do not have to be asked to provide medical samples, the law provides that they will just be taken. That people will have to obey all instructions given them - which may be relevant to a pandemic or not. That any criticisms of the Government action on social media, etc., will be gagged.

Bit of a shame we can't go to the European Court of Human Rights to sort out that pesky government. Due to the decision to stop the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights having effect after the UK leaves the EU.
Trampling on people's rights.
Who'd have ever thought a far right Tory government would do that. You'd have thought someone might have mentioned it before now.
Oh well.

They've got Gove lined up if Johnson remains too ill to do the job.
So that's alright, then.

The UK does not need 'Mother EU' to hold it's hand - particularly when Mother is not very wise.

So why are you complaining that your human rights are being violated? Under the HRA?
You don't agree with it, so don't complain that your rights aren't being upheld.

We certainly haven't got a far right government by any stretch of the definition.

Depends on your definition, the real test will be after the present health crisis is over, to date events have ruled the government .

Just one little problem, Cameron didn't actually DO anything, to date there is no British Human Rights Bill, at the time there was considerable concern as to the content of a new British bill, the current crisis may have forced a re-evaluation of content, we will see.
