It was a light hearted, slightly tongue in cheek, comment with regard to your post on right leaning forum members and perceived collective positions taken.
I would have waxed lyrical on you and other left leaners taking a similar course no matter what Labour politicians say and do.
Then - you go and 'hole me below the water line' with you comments above, re dearth of talent, and - your criticism of Rosie Cooper on the news page. GRRRRR!

Just seen on the news that PR9 is one of the postcodes where the South African variant has been found. According to the Beeb. I thought they were all in the south east.
I know that's a big area, but be extra careful folks.

These new strains, if that's what he's caught, seem particularly strong and easy to catch. I know a lot of people, medical staff and otherwise, that have been doubling up on masks recently. Might be a good idea around the shops. Not comfortable, but nobody should be taking their time in there anyway.
I have been wearing mine in the street and double in shops.
One unexpected advantage is I shave rogue upper lip hairs less.

Me too.
My poor sister in law breaks out in acne like a teenager if she puts a mask on. No amount of lotions help. We know if she's ventured to the shops, as she comes back like a dot-to-dot puzzle.
On the other hand, she's not bothered with make up for months. Masks and glasses on and she's away.

I've got a plastic frame to go under the mask which keeps the mask away from the nostrils and lips which helps, they are available on onbuy & ebay.

The medical disposable type are like a starched collar!
I also have trouble with the size.
Most adult sizes too loose doubling over the elastic they ping off my small ears.
I find ebay sellers marketing teenage size better.

Very sad news.
I want him to live to see the day life gets back to normal at least.

If anyone deserves to recover from this, it's Tom. He's one of the few remaining men of my dad's generation, and a prime example of how their generation was made of much sterner stuff than we see today.
My dad would have been 100 this March. I've never stopped missing him since he the day he died just before his 60th birthday. I wish he was still here, and I would love to see Tom recover and celebrate his 101st birthday. It's rare to see their like these days.

Scientists at Cambridge have done tests leading to the conclusion that delaying the second jab is not be a good thing as the immune system is not sufficiently stimulated to produce enough antibodies leaving the elderly open to the S African variant.
