Of course it's not all men but I think there is a worrying underlying frame of mind that even the nicest, most family oriented men seem to agree on and that is that they need a place that is only for men so they can get away from the wife/partner/girlfriend for a while presumably because they feel under pressure to get away from what they see as unreasonable demands or expectations of behaviour they can't always live up to.

So, mancave where you can fart while you watch sports, to men-only club where you can swear when you want to and talk politics or work that the little woman wouldn't understand, to locker room where you can talk about grabbing 'em by the p%**y, to what'sapp messages that are completely misogynist.
And yes, I know women like to dish the dirt with their girlfriends but they rarely then go out and attack a man no matter how much they might fee like it.

I'm a normal male,married, Dad, Granddad, I couldn't even think of "making a pass" to a younger woman let alone coming on strong or even thinking of any sort of sexual assault, my mind would always think of my own two daughters and certainly wouldn't have the slightest sexual intent towards them.

Yes toodles its getting more difficult to have the trust we used to have . I'm of an age group which grew up with respect fo one another and certainly the police .
Example , I'd been to tesco yesterday and was walking home along the rear entrance to tesco , I noticed some youths Male and female as I approach the group one of the males about 15 said to me " can I have a quid ", I said pardon and he repeated " can I have a quid" . I gave him a glare and was met with a load of abuse from the whole group. Needless to say I just walked away to a terrade.
Just an example of how young people view seniors these days.

Unless the Met Police have a number of really dense officers, I really cannot see this happening. You would have to be really thick to carry out a similar offence AND while serving in the same unit as the other guy.

There could be a hundred reasons she went back to the hotel. She might have wanted to continue talking. She might have had another drink. She might have intended to have sex with him, then changed her mind. Do you know what she didn't go there for? To get raped.

You are right, the Met do have a number of really dense officers, a large number are out of control, they think they are above the law and untouchable, it is a culture.

You are missing something very obvious, common sense, logic and empathy.
The girl would probably have not had any control if widely available 'date rape' drugs had been slipped into her drink, she would have little or no memory. On NW Tonight last evening there was an article about the gay rapist in Manchester who had raped hundreds, there was a police office who narrated the story that she had to go round to unwitting victims to TELL them that THEY had been raped, there was also an interview with one of them who said he had no idea or recollection of the incident only waking up fully clothed in a strange flat.
