Far from it! I'm human and I make mistakes. I'm ready to stand corrected at any time.
Age is simply a matter of mind - age doesn't matter if you don't mind

It's not a common occurrence.

I.e.:
Why start a thread for this? They have been at it for ages. The one politely and stubbonly defending his own workplace and the other stubbonly and inpolitely attacking from all angles and at all levels (from the guttter up).
Surely a special thread is more than anyone wants?
It isn't difficult to understand, It's just a matter of good manners or no manners whatsoever.
Derek you have made the accusation now back it up and post it,
where have I attacked from the gutter up ?
Paste an example .

One thing that no-one has mentioned - we used to have a coal fire. Apart from the cleaning of it every morning - the house used to get so warm we had to open the back door and windows, it was not easy to let the fire go out and relight it again. OK. So central heating is not as cheerful - but once the house is warm, it can easily be turned off and on again when it turns colder.
So really I think. it is a personal thing as to what method of heating you prefer. Some people really feel the cold, while others don't. What temperature do you have your house at in the winter - do you feel the cold?

No, not the first. He has shown he is human but hates to admit it.

So another troll poster, when asked to give examples you don't,
just deliberately vexatious comments designed to provoke.
What a sad empty life you must lead.

A) A stove is so much more efficient (80%+) and controllable, than an open fire (about 30%). Depending how much air you allow in, via the small vent at the front, it can operate anywhere from 'slumber' right up to its full rated output.
B) Also, with regard to the climate crisis, people are increasingly aware of their carbon footprint and want to do something positive about it. Which is a major reason why more are moving over to a renewable fuel for home heating.

I don't know how you define troll poster. But i think your definition differs from mine. My "sad empty life" is so busy I have no time to start reading through lots and lots of your previous posts in order to quote you. I don't expect it to take too long before you post in your normal manner, and then I will quote you!

I'm just outside Oslo. If you check a map you will see that Rogaland is a fair stretch from here.
