I posted this for the science dunce;
The science supports that face coverings are saving lives during the coronavirus pandemic, and yet the debate trundles on. How much evidence is enough?

Hopefully, the recent local death might make the science dunce and his ilk read a bit from sensible places.

I was struck that this was someone in their late 50s, and male, whose expressed risk-assessment was that he'd rather take his chances with catching the infection and his body's capacity to subsequently fight off the disease unaided, rather than accept the vaccine jabs.
A Cambridge-educated solicitor who became convinced there was nothing much to Covid "after reading material on social media."

Another tragic and very sad, unnecessary death.
Daughter Carla Hodges, 35, said: "[Leslie] was so brainwashed by the stuff that he was seeing on YouTube and social media.

As I said in a previous post, there is a trend.
It would be difficult even for Said to post something to challenge the articles quoted, the only decent response would be an apology to show at least some respect but I won't hold my breath!

He could I suppose repeat his classic line;
"A healthy person's immune system is well capable of fighting off a mild virus such as Covid."

It is truly interesting that the covidiots would rather let an "engineered" bat virus run riot in their bodies than a vaccine that millions and millions have tested before them.
The complications from the vaccine compared to the millions dead from coronavirus makes me think they are none to clever on either science or maths.
Speaking of science voids, where is Professor Dunce?

Chef’s parents and brother die from Covid within week after jab refusal
Francis Goncalves, from Cardiff, wants his family’s experience to encourage people to get vaccinated
A man from Cardiff has claimed he lost his mother, father and brother from Covid within a week because all three had chosen not to be jabbed after they were frightened by misinformation from anti-vaxxers.

Some of the anti-vaxxers have gone from expressing understandable caution and concern to full-blown self-appointed experts disseminating specious theories as fact.
For some of these people, I see this as a worrying transition for others such as our resident Professor who clearly just doesn't understand what he posts it is just life.
The problem is when this coalition spreads its nonsense to the naive or gullible.
The internet as wonderful as it can be is a recruiting aid for conspiracies theorists to gain support, some it seems with evil intent.
As recent reports show, they have death on their hands.

There needs to be laws introduced that make people responsible for what they post with severe penalties, the likes of Twitter & Faecebook take down illegal and obscene stuff (sometimes & slowly) but it needs extending to include everything across the Internet. I noticed elsewhere that a local business was complaining about reviews posted alleging that they sourced their ingredients from Aldi (as if it matters) and that they drove a Mercedes, I've also seen similar complaints on the Echo & MEN sites with owners complaining about bad reviews left before they reopened and again about items not on the menu, what are these people at, is it a form of blackmail to try to get a freebie (or worse) they need to be responsible for what they post it could lead to businesses folding, people losing jobs and cascading to other businesses with knock on consequences.
'Er indoors looney mate has turned into a rabid 'Antivaxer', she now send frequent letters to the missus warning here about side effects and about healthy people dying after the jab, she wants churches, schools (to protect children) and parks all closed and now only goes out to the shop and Post Office, she's had the first dose and claimed mild side effects but now says she nearly died, reads the Mail & Express and booked her Flu jab at the Chemist a month ago.

As we've seen with our resident Covidiot, it's pretty difficult to get through to them.
Something of a rift is forming in my family. Eldest grandson is refusing point blank to get vaccinated. Now he's an adult, he's got every right to go unvaccinated. The rest of the family maintain their right to avoid infection. Even though most are double jabbed, we know that is no guarantee we won't catch Covid or even be hospitalised, though it does improve everyone's chances against both.
He's seen his younger siblings suffer Covid, but the fact that they recovered simply reinforces his belief that it isn't a big deal. His cousin has also gone down that road, posting links to the usual YouTube conspiracy theories.
In every other way he's an intelligent, responsible chap. Several degrees, runs his own business. But on this particular subject, he's basically batshit crazy. Even to the 'what are they putting in it' or 'it hasn't been tested enough' nonsense. Very disturbing how easily some people can be enticed down this particular rabbit hole.
