PRIDE ... you can...
... be whatever you are. I couldnt give a Sh*t.
...Be ubiquitous on Mainstream media. I really don't give a Sh*t, in fact I try to ignore you because Im really not interested.
...Do whatever you want to do behind closed doors or in public. So long as you don't break public indecency laws.
But please stop shoving it down our throats. No pun intended. Everywhere I look I see virtue signalling corporations jumping on the Gay Bandwagon. Banks, stores, Even B&Q, who should really only be interested in selling wood preservative, are suddenly gay.
You got acceptance. So stop there please.
Seriously nobody except you is interested.
And please... don't *******ise the word "pride" in the same way you *******ised the word "gay".
Just saying.

Businesses will often dress themselves or position themselves in a manner they perceive as strengthening their brand and as forecasted to increase their profitability. That is standard business behaviour. It's no different to the bewildering number of sponsers and partners that suddenly emerge and attach every World Cup cycle.
Often personal, celebratory behaviour can be about a positive promotion of self-acceptance, of shaking off suppression that may still lingeringly hold an inhibatory power; rather than the proud celebratory behaviour being about any desire to shove anything down the throat of anyone.
I've often noticed that heterosexual men don't seem overly concerned about any breach of public decency laws when a female streaker bursts into view at a televised sporting event.
Instead, there tends to be volleys of "manly(!)" groans and grunts of disappointment when the programme producer deselects for broadcast any camera that is capturing the image of the nude female one.

What a load of utter dross, you may not have heard but nowadays women go to watch male strippers and I believe they are even keen to put on a show. Get out of the desert and join the real world. Sconney is right who cares what anyone does in the privacy of their own home just keep it schtum cos I don't want to know. OK.

You've misunderstood what I was pointing out.

Alternatively - the proud can carry on celebrating regardless, while the offended always have the option of directing their attention elsewhere.

Whatever you do behind doors is up to you as long as it is with a consenting adult and if in public does not infringe public indecency laws.
But please stop shafting us(no pun intended) don't confuse masculinity with wearing the trousers.
Everywhere I look I see virtue signalling corporations jumping on the he man Bandwagon.
Life has moved on.

Were still a little mixed up on the sexuality front it appears.
I do hope we settle down sometime soon and then these pantomime parades can be a thing of the past.

It Netflix's fault.
All that historic entertainment and look back reminds me that male man
decided on the definition of sexuality.

Some people need to get back to their flint-knapping and to mind their own business.
Don't go to bed angry. Stay up and plot your revenge.

Oh my. Somebody has their knickers in a twist. It's good that you got that off your chest. Has it been festering for a while? Bless.
Companies will use anything to promote their products. I notice an increase in the commercialisation of, say, Ramadan or Eid. For such a tiny percentage of the population, they obviously think it's a high enough profile to promote their interests. I don't feel they are shoving Islam down my throat though. I don't think a few ads will suddenly make me whip a prayer mat out, nor force a sudden interest in Mecca.
Can't say I get into a tizz over it, though. Even though it's of no interest to me whatsoever. And it's an obvious cynical ploy to appear all encompassing.
As for the word 'pride', I'm sure you can use it without anyone questioning your super-straight credentials. Although, as I'm sure you know, language evolves. Some words change their meaning over time. 'Troll' for example. 'Awful' - worthy of awe, now something really scummy. 'Senile' once meant anything to do with old age. 'Egregious' meant something distinguished, now something terrible. 'Nice' used to mean someone ignorant. 'Bully' was a word of affection, now a piece of crap that picks on those he thinks are weaker.
And 'gay' went from meaning happy in the 13th century to 'female prostitute' in the 16th.
So I think you can reclaim the word 'pride' on behalf of the straight population. Have a word with the OED about how angry you are.
You could also reclaim 'gay'. Whether it's the 13th century version or the 16th century version is up to you.
That'll be nice.

The obsession with what gays actually "do" amuses me. I went to a local Pride day and I didn't see a single reference to actual sexual practices.
I wonder how many posters simultaneously express oblique disgust for some male homosexual practices, and alternate between pestering their wives to indulge in the same acts and checking out the "lesbian" porn on Pornhub.

Oh dear it seems like a couple of posters on this thread have totally got the wrong end of the sh***y stick and want to beat those of us who are fed up with it.
This is not about obsession. Quite the opposite in fact. Allow me to clarify.
I am simply NOT interested in someone else's sexuality so why do they think I am?
Ok is this clear and concise enough?
But gay activists and the msm keep shoving it down a weary majority of throats in what seems to be some ongoing insecure craving for acceptance that you have already secured.
Ffs move on.
And as for corporation's cashing in on it, as a couple of posts have alluded to, it's nothing but hollow, opportunistic virtue signalling that any reasonable person can see through but if it makes gays buy their wood preservative then anything goes... ...right?

It is a novelty for some people just to be free to express and enjoy their life without hiding or covering up.
For those that do not have these complications in acceptance and day to day life I feel the pleasure too.
Particularly when you remember many people lost their lives through murder or suicide just for being different.
