Reported on 'Crimewatch Southport and Surrounding Areas' over the weekend
I have had such a traumatic day. Went to ainsdale beach with my dogs this morning.
A guy who was a bird watcher confronted me told me to walk my dogs in sandhills.
He then physically grabbed me and pushed me and I was terrified.
I have got a video and will put a pic up on all sites once I have had confirmation from police. Picture above
I have reported it to several organisations.
My young dog ran off and she was terrified. Took over 3 hours with loads of my friends coming out to eventually thank god find her. I was traumatized.
Please be aware of a guy and I presume his wife on the beach and believe me next time I won't be a solitary female.

Do not condone this guys actions in anyway.
But several dogs and not on lead.
As well as leaving mess the dogs could attack other animals or children.
Not responsible behavior by the poster, no matter how well behaved she thinks her dogs are.

Victim blaming. Maybe her dogs are well behaved and don’t pose any threat to children or other animals? There are parts of Ainsdale beach where dogs aren’t required to be on a lead.

No I'm not blaming her at all.
I don't see her behavior as justifying the lout's action in anyway.

Any off lead dog potentially poses a threat to children or other animals (and cyclists !)
When an off lead dog bit my daughter the owner claimed that her dog hadn't done it because it was "Well behaved". She claimed it was an identical dog which was off lead in the area at the time!
All dogs leave mess, which is also a danger to people.

The OP didn't mention that so I assumed she was not in that area. You assume she was.
The owner let her dogs run loose in an area frequented by dog walkers and children
I think she should reflect on how her behavior could be damaging to others.

Where in the article does it describe any behaviour that others may find ‘damaging’?
You too are assuming she was in the area where her dog should be on a lead. You don’t know that either.
Believe it or not, plenty of responsible dog owners do pick up their mess. It’s wrong of you to just assume she isn’t one of them.

She had dogs off lead.
The dogs make mess and can attack animals and people.

Yes that is what I said. I assumed one thing, you assumed another.
Neither of us know.

Potentially yes, but your just assuming she doesn’t clean up after her dogs and you have no idea whether or not they’re well behaved or not.

And you are assuming she does.

Well behaved dogs can bite people. The dog that bit my daughter was, according to the owner, well behaved.
Read about serious dog attacks and in many cases the owner describes the dog as "Well behaved".
A dog reacts to situations. If it perceives a situation as threatening it may attack.

Doesn’t alter the fact that dogs are permitted to be off lead on large stretches of the beach. Unless you have any evidence that proves otherwise or that she was allowing her dogs to leave a mess, we should assume she is a responsible dog owner like the vast majority are. Instead of slagging someone off who could be perfectly innocent, you should be venting your anger at the perpetrator of this assault and maybe show the poor woman a bit of compassion.

Sefton Dog Laws - dogs should be on a lead, dogs are not allowed in certain areas of the Southport and Ainsdale beach and dogs should be kept away from birds and wildlife.

Another one just assuming she was on the small stretch of beach where dogs aren’t allowed? No one ever heard of innocent till proven guilty?
You should get a dog, it might bring some joy into your soulless existence.
Ban been lifted has it?

Maybe you should also consider getting a pet? Would give you something to do instead of spending your days being a sad old troll.
