At such a formal gathering had she been invited to talk then she would have been introduced to the guests. She barged her way through staff and was determined to get to the front - noone at that meeting knew why, she could have been armed with anything.
My first thought on viewing this was good on him, in the light of the murder of Jo Cox and threats made against politicians in this political climate he was right to step in and evict her.
Did he use excessive force? Quite possibly and there have been copies of tweets circulating whereby he comes across as a bully boy but in this situation he took control. If she didn't want to be manhandled then she could have stayed at the back heckling.
Had she have thrown acid or worse everyone would be questioning why the guests sat there and did nothing.

You make a good point about her staying at the back of the room to make her protest peacefully, once she had broken away no one knew what she was going to do.
In the heat of the moment she might have planned to pick up a diners knife to make a name for herself.
He did well and wouldn't a few more like him be just the people we need in these violent times.

That is half the problem, the Town Centres are full of these 'Have a Go Henry's' who cause chaos & mayhem after a sniff of the barmaids apron.

The "Have a go Henry's" like the protesters are a menace your right,
any chance to disrupt peoples quiet enjoyment of a dinner and speech.
It is happening too much its a good job people intervened to stop them.
If they hadn't who knows what they would have done.
I don't know if they had been drinking though before they caused chaos and mayhem.

It was a ridiculous thing anyway he should have been given a pat on the back and a round of applause.
The next time some crackpot rushes in people will be wary of the response and let them go to do who knows what ?
It sets a dangerous precedent in these troubled times.
We need more Mark Fields.

The footage still is cringe worthy.
I would have enjoyed it more if Mr Fields had used his jug of iced water
or even had the forethought to carry a pair of those fluffy pink handcuffs
popularly sold for hen nights.(where do they all go after use).
Too many people would put up with being manhandled for the publicity.
I think security should be tightened.
The women gained entrance without questioning because they looked and dressed similar to the invited women guests.

How does being given a badge and a high vis change the circumstances of stopping the woman making mischief ?

Blimey your clutching at some very old straws to support a weak argument.
Why do you contort yourself to support wrongdoers.
Is it simply more about who than what.
People have to be free to have their meetings and dinners without fearing intruders.
Because of the actions of this women and her friends the rest of us have to go through ever increasing security.
Layers of security and CCTV are bad enough as it is.
