Wouldn't you drive your child to the best place for him ?

Why?
Didn't he confirm everything the Mirror said in his carefully drawn up witness statement?

Apparently there are complaints to IPSO.

I just Googled that. The only reference I can find is on Guido-Nazi-Boy-Fawkes site.
There may well be complaints, I guess.
I'd have thought they'd have consulted lawyers before they published the story, though.

Being cooped up in a car for 5 hours with 2 people suffering from a deadly virus is not the best place for him.

So what would you have done with your child ?
He already lived with them and children as you know are largely unaffected.

Exactly the same as thousands of others, put up with it, they where in a good position, a biggish home and two of them unlike thousand of other single parents stuck in a pokey flat with 2 or three kids.

I just Googled 'IPSO' and 'Cummings'.
Having just done that again, another link has appeared. It seems members of the public have complained to IPSO about Mary Wakefield's Spectator column.

Also, if you're Rod Hull to Johnson's Emu, I'm pretty certain that any help would be there at the drop of a hat. Including a car being available instead of using your own, filled with family, as an eye test.

Just on the news now - footage of Liverpool's deputy mayor enjoying a birthday bash during lockdown - with the cast of Ben Hur in their back garden!
Thank God for the political elite - if it weren't for them cocking it up the news would be about 20 seconds long.

The Cummings debacle has given licence to anyone to break the lockdown now. Although I'm guessing if you aren't a politician or celebrity, the authorities will find a way to slap you with a fine.
I'm more worried that given this complete loss of control, Johnson will lift the lockdown far too early and cause multiple waves of infection. I'm still not convinced of the wisdom of allowing under 5s back in school, never mind throwing the door open to Primani. But if he considers himself unpopular, he'll lift restrictions as a distraction.

So with both parents facing a possibly deadly disease you would leave your child to cope and not take them to a place of safety ?
That's neglect,
a deficit in meeting a child's basic needs, including the failure to provide adequate supervision, health care, clothing, or housing, as well as other physical, emotional, social, educational, and safety needs.
the size of the accommodation is irrelevant he could be neglected in Buckingham Palace.
He didn't go to Disneyland.

The instructions which apply to the rest of the population are Stay At Home, if a problem then arises there are other avenues to get help which don't involve a 5 hour drive.
