The £350m wasn't a lie it was merely an untruth, something that politicians are very adept at dealing in.
The rebate hasn't been out of the equation for 35 years.
Figure neither false nor incorrect.

It is 35 years since M T negotiated the rebate and the figure is totally false, the amount going to the E U is approx £250m the extra £100m does not cross the Channel, it is deducted here before anything is sent.

Firstly we do not and have never paid £350m per week to the EU, the rebate is deducted before any payments are made, that money never leaves the Exchequer and there is no way this can be classed as a saving or additional funding to our own budgeting.
The ONS themselves stated Johnson's claims to be "a clear misuse of official statistics"
We are now down to £250m per week, but let's look a little more, we recieved from the EU £43b in subsides and public sector funding, that brings our total annual bill to £8.9b, then there are the many funding grants to the private sector for r&d and education, these amount to a further £2.3b, we are now down to £6.6b a far cry from Johnsons claimed £18.2b.
Plus just for laughs £478m of our foreign aid budget comes from the EU budget, we will still be responsible for that after Brexit,we are now down to £6.1b per annum to the EU.
There are other deductions which could be made, but not easy to put a monetary value, for instance the testing standards of medicines for the EU currently based in the UK.
Johnson's claim of £350m per week doesn't look so good when put against reality.
Yes I fully understand that a good portion of this funding is determined by the EU rather than our own government, however with a Tory government in charge that is not a bad thing, Tories have never been keen on subsidising or funding anything which doesn't help their buddies and finders.
Yes, but when you mention EU subsidies that are paid back to the UK - the money is not allowed to be spent as required in the UK, the money has to be spent in accordance with EU direction. The subsidies are paid to each country and this money is allocated to a set category for each country - but each country is different and has different needs.

Stated exactly that in my post, also stated that with Tories in charge that isn't a bad thing, in fact wouldn't hand large sums of money to be used as they feel.

Try again, it is negotiated as part of the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) every seven years and must be unanimously agreed.
The quaint notion that money crosses the channel is amusing but how it is moved is not the issue it is the fact that the EU gets its grubby hands on it.
Don't worry if we leave Jeremy will be in the running to get his hands on it to turn us into Venezengland.
Then the little coterie on here will quite literally be like pigs in Sh11t

According to Corbyn the choice is leave with no deal or a Labour Gov.

I notice you tactfully avoid the quick breakdown of finances between the UK and the EU, the EU do NOT get their hands on £350m per week, I do take your point that other subsidy, funding and grants are distributed by the EU rather than our government, however considering that the bulk of that money goes to the likes of agricultural subsidy, to development of deprived and/or run down areas, funding into the public and private sector.
With a Tory government in place that is not a bad thing, can you honestly see a Tory government continuing this funding where needed, or would we revert to those plans for Liverpool of "managed decline" but on a national basis.
As far as Corbyn and Venezuela is concerned that has long been changed dramatically, Corbyn does not support the current state of Venezuela in any way and has stated that, forget dragging up historic statements and applying them as if they are current opinions.
Before you even think it I am not a particular Corbyn fan, but preferable to any Tory at any time.

I fully accept that getting the money to deprived areas is a matter of urgency, the EU clearly only picks pet projects that do not get to grips with the issues.
As neither a Labour or Conservative supporter it may be fair for me to say that neither is up to the task for different reasons.
The Conservatives aren't interested and Labour is economically illiterate.
The EU do get control of the money, who makes the spending decisions ?

The applications for EU money get funneled through Whitehall.
