Dear friends,
I just signed the petition "No public money for MPs' meals" and wanted to ask if you could add your name too.
This campaign means a lot to me and the more support we can get behind it, the better chance we have of succeeding. You can read more and sign the petition here:

The canteen is subsidised but there are few MP's who actually use it. The canteen is mostly used by utility staff - cleaners, security, admin. etc.,

Funny how lefty 38degrees is not bothered about their jobs.
School meals are subsidised by the Government anyway.
Why punish Labour MP's from the North who voted for the motion?
Counterproductive in security.
Much safer MP's use facilities.

You are correct in saying that MPs don't use the canteen, but that's not what we're talking about. MPs eat/drink in the Member's Dining Room, reserved for members only. You won't see the mop & bucket brigade in there.

How do the prices compare to the average London restaurant?

I hardly think it would be seen as punishment for an MP to be expected to pay the going rate of a meal. Don’t forget, these parasites are on £80K+ BASIC salary, (and due a £3000+pay rise) plus eye watering expense accounts, plus all the little extras like TV and radio appearances which net them thousands more.

It is a political organisation campaigning for free school meals for children
who employed a crack dealer on £75,000 a year?

London is more expensive compared to the North.
It would be our representatives using the facilities more.
Mostly it is about security.
In house facilities are safer particularly at night and under Covid restrictions.
